I read the middle spread of CNTs Sept.

I read the middle spread of CNTs Sept. 12 edition with great interest. I felt that Tom Harpur answered the critique of Scott M Lewis, SJ rather well. As in the review according to H.J. Richards, I find actual little supportive argument in his critique.

For Richards to claim that Harpur has probably harmed the case for demythologizing the Bible, appear to bes to me to miss the point of the book

In The Pagan Christ, Tom Harpur states," What we ne today is not a further rationalizing and demythologizing of the Bible accounts, moreover rather a re-mythologizing." For me this is what his work is all about.

Barry Blackburn's analysis of The Pagan Christ, seemd more to paraphrase and elucidate the part rather than showing any real weak points in it. Thus far, I have not read in any review of The Pagan Christ, a critique that has any real telling evidence against the message of the part Theological rhetoric just will not suffice.
