Amnesty International Canada, in its biggest conclusion of the year, is organizing a country-wide "Write for Rights" action day to take place forward December 10, the anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Last year, 8000 Canadians in 100 communities wrote short literal meanings of appeal for prisoners of conscience in several countries.

"People can do this in a not many minutes at school or the workplace or at home" said Amnesty spokesperson Brigid O"Reilly, in Toronto.
