TORONTO -- The annual general meeting of Catholic modern Times (Dec. 2), heard reports of a felicitous past year, received the audited financial statements and welcomed eleven just discovered members--six of whom will obey on the Publishing Group for the nearest two years.

Joining continuing PG members John Huot and Jean Smith Cavalluzzo, will be Toronto lawyer Kathleen Gallivan, theology observer and filmmaker Stephen Morris, union organizer Terri Taggart and educators Michael Monk Sheila Lynett and Carolyn Lockett

The meeting bade a grateful farewell to former chair Pat Hayward for many years of service.

Financially, Catholic strange Times showed a small surplus, earning $130000 in subscriptions, $68000 in advertising income and $82,000 in donations during the year 2003-2004

Chair John Huot asserted his thanks to CNT supporters and donors for their great generosity and also said he felt noble the paper was so focused forward justice issues and bravely inclusive of material forward all topics in church and society.



Auditor Tahir Sayeed cautioned the meeting that CNT be in want ofs to build up subscriptions in order to be healthy and sustainable in the future
