During Mass in succession Jan. 30 Father Jim read a message from an unknown assemblage exhorting everyone to call their MP and voice against the same-sex legislation. He encouraged us to do for a like reason and did not instruct us to act forward our conscience.
This is disturbing. My life is repeatedly divided between faith matters and civil matters. I plainly believe that gays and lesbians, including those who are Catholics, are entitled to civil marriage because as a civil right, it cannot be denied to anyone in this country
I cannot believe that the Catholic. house of god has not only reverted to medieval thinking equable after Vatican II, but is actively pressuring MP to renounce civil rights to gays and lesbians.
If my temple decides in the spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ not to sanctify same-sex marriage, then it should do to such a degree within its walls.
